About the Mystic Spray Booth
Mystic Spray booth is a more natural looking spray tan and works with your own skin tones by spraying a clear tan spray that develops over 24 hours. It is fully automated and easy to follow.
We have 3 types of spray available at Luxe Glow Studio:
- Natural-looking results that work with your skin tone
- No UV exposure
- 3 shade options:
Light – 1-2 shades darker than your natural tone, giving a natural healthy glow.
Medium – 2-3 shades darker than your natural tone
Dark – 3-5 shades darker than your natural tone - Develops over 24 hours for a flawless finish
How to Prepare for Your Spray Tan
Choosing Your Shade
- For an everyday, natural glow, the Light spray is perfect.
- For a special occasion, we recommend the Medium or Dark spray for a deeper, more noticeable result.
Important to Know
This is designed to create a natural-looking tan, which means:
- If your legs are naturally lighter than your arms, they will remain slightly lighter once the tan develops.
- If you’d like extra colour in certain areas (e.g. legs), you can apply an intensifier cream beforehand to deepen the result in those areas.
- Tip: If using an intensifier, remember to wash or wipe your hands thoroughly after application.
Trial Recommendation
If your tan is for a special occasion, we strongly recommend having a trial session first (using the Medium spray). This ensures you’re happy with the final result ahead of your event.
Timing Your Appointment
Once you’re happy with your trial, having your spray tan 24 hours before your occasion is ideal.
Preparation for Best Results
To achieve a flawless, even, and long-lasting tan:
- Exfoliate and shave 24 hours before your appointment
- Arrive with clean, dry skin
- Avoid wearing:
- Lotions
- Perfumes
- Deodorant
- Make-up
Your Step-by-Step Spray Tan Guide
24 Hours Before
- Exfoliate: Use an oil-free scrub or exfoliating mitt to remove dead skin cells. Focus on elbows, knees, ankles and heels.
- Hair Removal: Complete any shaving or waxing now so your pores have time to close.
- Moisturise: Hydrate your skin heavily the night before.
Day of Appointment
- Clean Canvas: Arrive with completely bare skin – no moisturiser, deodorant, perfume or makeup.
- Shower: If you must shower, do so at least 4–6 hours before your session using clear water only.
- Protect Nails: Apply a clear or coloured nail varnish to prevent the solution staining your nails.
Arriving at the Booth
- Remove all jewellery.
- Barrier Cream: Apply provided barrier cream to dry areas – nails, palms, elbows, ankles and back of the heel.
- Hair Care: Tie your hair back and use the hairnet provided, ensuring it sits off the face along the hairline.
What to Wear
- During: Wear what makes you comfortable – most choose a dark thong, go topless, or use the disposable undergarments provided.
- After: Bring dark, loose-fitting clothing and flip-flops. Avoid tight items like bras, leggings or jeans.
Aftercare
- Avoid bathing, swimming or sweating for at least 6–8 hours to allow the tan to develop.
- We recommend waiting overnight for your full results.
- Moisturise: Hydrate your skin to help your tan last that little bit longer.
