Privacy Policy
How Luxe Glow Studio collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website, shop, and app.
Who we are
This privacy policy applies to Luxe Glow Studio, operated by LUXE GLOW STUDIO LIMITED (Companies House number 16985184), trading from Unit 4, Onyx Retail Park, Manvers Way, Wath upon Dearne, Rotherham S63 7FN.
For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected] or call 01709 212515.
What this covers
This policy covers:
- Our website at luxeglowstudio.co.uk
- Our progressive web app (PWA) and Google Play app (which opens the same website)
- Online shop checkout, where enabled
- Links to third-party services such as SalonTracker, Facebook, and Google Maps
Information we collect
When you browse our site or app
Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may process technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited to deliver the site securely and reliably. We do not use advertising trackers or sell your data.
When you contact us
If you use our contact form, your name, email, and message are sent to us by email so we can reply. The same applies if you message us on Facebook Messenger, call us, or visit in person.
When you shop online
If online checkout is enabled, payments and delivery details are processed by Snipcart (our payment and cart provider). We receive the order information needed to fulfil your purchase (name, email, delivery address, items ordered). Card details are handled by Snipcart’s payment partners — we do not store card numbers on our servers.
Salon packages and minutes
Sunbed course registration and minute balances are managed through SalonTracker, a separate service operated by your salon software provider. When you use those links, their privacy policy applies.
Installed app (PWA / Play Store)
If you install our app to your home screen or from Google Play, a service worker may cache parts of the site on your device so pages load faster and basic offline viewing works. This data stays on your device and can be cleared by uninstalling the app or clearing site data in your browser settings.
How we use your information
- To respond to enquiries and provide customer service
- To process and deliver online shop orders
- To operate, secure, and improve our website and app
- To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations where applicable
Legal basis (UK GDPR)
- Contract — processing orders and providing services you request
- Legitimate interests — running our business, securing our site, and communicating with customers
- Consent — where you choose to contact us or sign up to third-party services
- Legal obligation — keeping records required by law
Third-party services
We use trusted providers who may process data on our behalf, including:
- Cloudflare — website hosting and security (privacy policy)
- Snipcart — online shop checkout, when enabled (privacy policy)
- Google Fonts — typography (privacy policy)
- Facebook / Instagram / Messenger — if you choose to interact with us on social media (privacy policy)
- Google Maps — if you open directions (privacy policy)
- SalonTracker — course registration and account login (third-party salon software)
Each provider has its own privacy policy for data they process directly.
Cookies and local storage
We do not use advertising cookies. Our site may use essential storage for the shopping cart (Snipcart, when checkout is enabled) and for the installed app service worker cache. You can control cookies and site data through your browser or device settings.
How long we keep data
We keep contact and order information only as long as needed to fulfil your request, manage our relationship with you, and meet legal or accounting requirements — typically up to six years for financial records where applicable.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Ask us to delete your data in certain circumstances
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- Lodge a complaint with the ICO at ico.org.uk
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected].
Children
Our services are not directed at children under 16. Sunbed use is restricted to adults in line with UK law. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
International transfers
Some of our providers (for example Cloudflare, Snipcart, or Google) may process data outside the UK. Where this happens, they use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent protections.
Changes to this policy
We may update this page from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of our site or app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
